If you do not know where to begin, start here slowly. These prayers are meant to be prayed right away, without searching or filtering.

Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Offering of Indulgences

Lord Jesus, through Mary's hands, I offer You all indulgences I may gain today. Apply them, I pray, either for a soul of a loved one, my soul, or for a soul in purgatory, according to Your holy will. Amen.

Prayer for the Daily Offering

O Jesus, through the immaculate heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. Lord, I offer You: (List specific sacrifice for the day) I offer them for all the intentions of your sacred heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all the apostles of prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

Detachment from Sin

Lord Jesus, detach my heart from all sin and every disordered attachment. Let me choose You above all things. Amen.

Act of Contrition

O my God, I repent with my whole heart of all my sins, and I detest them, because I have deserved the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because I have offended you, infinite Goodness. I firmly purpose with the help of your grace, which I pray you to grant me now and always, to do penance and rather to die than offend you again. I purpose also to receive the holy Sacraments during my life and at my death.

Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I long for you in my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though you have already come, I embrace you and unite myself entirely to you; never permit me to be separated from you.

Prayer to One's Guardian Angel

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

St. Michael Prayer

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Prayer for Mother and Father

Lord Jesus, bless my mother and father. Strengthen them in faith, protect them in every need, and reward their love, sacrifices, and care. Draw them close to Your Heart and keep them in Your peace. Amen.

Prayer for Wife or Husband

Lord Jesus, bless my wife or husband with peace, strength, and fidelity. Deepen our love, heal what is strained, and teach us to serve one another with patience and charity. Keep our home close to You. Amen.

Prayer for Children

Lord Jesus, watch over the children You have placed in my care. Guard their hearts, guide their steps, and help them grow in wisdom, charity, and holy joy. Amen.

Our Father

The prayer Jesus taught His disciples, prayed throughout Catholic life and worship.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

And the Word was made flesh. R. And dwelt among us. Hail Mary... V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Liturgical Year

Come, Holy Spirit

Mary and Saints

Memorare

A traditional prayer asking the Blessed Virgin Mary's intercession with confidence.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
