Peace I Leave With You

Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Easter

Christian peace is not the absence of trouble. It is the presence of Christ ordering the heart toward trust.

Scripture references

  • First Reading: Acts 15:1-6
  • Gospel: John 14:27-31a
Open official daily readings

Daily Oratory provides Scripture references and original reflections. It does not republish copyrighted readings.

The peace of Christ arrives as gift before it becomes discipline. We receive it before we can carry it.

When the heart is troubled, the first task is not to manufacture calm. It is to turn again toward the Lord who speaks peace into fear.

Let one worry become a short prayer today. Name it, place it before Christ, and ask what faithful action belongs to this moment.

Reflection questions

  • What fear is asking for my obedience today?
  • Where do I need to receive Christ's peace before responding?
  • What worry can become prayer before it becomes complaint?

Prayer

Jesus, give me Your peace. Order my heart toward trust and make me a quiet bearer of peace today.
