Daily Oratory provides Scripture references and original reflections. It does not republish copyrighted readings.

Jesus gives the commandment of love at the hour when His own love is about to be revealed most completely.

Christian charity is not merely being agreeable. It is the concrete gift of self, formed by truth, patience, mercy, and sacrifice.

This Sunday, ask where love needs to become visible: at home, in a parish conversation, in hidden service, or in forgiveness.

Reflection questions

  • Where does Christ ask me to love concretely this week?
  • Which relationship needs patience instead of reaction?
  • How can our family or group make charity visible today?

Prayer

Lord Jesus, form our love after Your own. Make our homes, parishes, and communities signs of Your charity.
